Three main metabolic panels are taken from the urine test to determine levels of urinary sulfate, urinary nitrate and lipid peroxides. The detail given would take me an hour to to type to I will just share some of the most important findings here.
Ok. stripping most of the technical language away:
Urinary Sulfate levels: in a nutshell these demonstrate that my body is in a HIGH level detoxification process and needs additional supplementation of very specific nutrients to handle the level of detoxification I am handling due to my high raw diet. (Shazam! This tells me that exactly what I am doing in reflecting inside my body as well as outside) Note: this also tells me that I need additional supplementation support customized to my current levels - and that has been added to my personal Custom Essentials which will be shipped to me each month!) (Some of the added supplementation includes a specific amounts of the herb silymarin, along with a laundry list of other supportive supplementation in the correct ratios - instead of me guessing what I need and by adding too much of one thing, canceling out a beneficial effect of something else)
Lipid Peroxide levels: state that for some reason (hint: due to my copious consumption of fruits, veggies, green juices etc) I "may have a natural tendency for efficient internal antioxidant production and/or I may not be subject to major oxidative stress at this time"
It goes and on about this and long story short my Custom Essential blend has a reduced but preventative level of antioxidants in a synergistic combination including Vitamin C, natural beta carotene and vitamin E, selenium, grape seed extract (a potent source of oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes - which I am actually studying in school).
Thirdly, my Nitrate results were reported. This is where i should have followed the 24 hours before testing warning card to avoid certain foods like lunch meat bacon, garlic, lettuce, spinach and strawberries...
So I technically followed the exact short list by not having spinach or strawberries.....but I did have 3 quarts of kale/pear juice (I am addicted to green juices now) - which screwed up my Urinary Nitrate levels. (I know, I know....but Kale wasn't on the list. Apparently they did not think that many clients would be consuming so much of this "exotic" green ) My bad.
The report stated (short version) that my chemical results indicated a tendency toward overproduction of nitrates indicating a need to push my biochemistry toward a more balanced range. As a result, my own personal Custom Essential proprietary blend as been blended with specific amino acids like L-lysine which can exert a modifying effect on the pathways involved in nitric acid production. Additional amounts of specialized nutrients such as reduced glutathione and lipoic acid as an added protection.
So without listing the 31 ingredients added to my personal blend of Custom Essentials, I will share an additional comment. Without the metabolic testing ($99.95) I wouldn't have known the exact amount of each supplement my body needed - and the correct ratios to blend them together. The amounts of many of the individual ingredients are not standard sized dosages that you could purchase in an individual supplement. The combination ratios enable the ingredients to work together synergistically instead of canceling each other out. And instead of attempting to add 31 bottles of vitamins, minerals and supplementation to my bathroom counter to take every day - I have ONE packet with 6 capsules containing the complete perfect ratio blend in a whole food base (no synthetic fillers.) The daily cost is less than a Starbucks (which I have given up) so i feel good about saving money, time, and wasted supplement bottles i never use.
Pretty impressive!
My hubby should receive his Privatest report in the next few days, I'll keep you posted.
We both also have reports and supplements (if needed) for the additional Stress Test (cortisol to DHEA levels measured 5 times across a busy work day) and the Allertest I took to reveal allergies to the top 10 food allergens (blood test).
